Betty Jane Welch, 94, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Betty was a daughter of the late Fred and Frances (Hoffman) Wolfe. She attended St. Joseph Central Grade School and graduated from North Side High School, class of 1948. While at N.S. she sang in their acapella choir. Betty retired from Brotherhood Mutual in 1989. Betty was a 40 year member of Cedar Creek Church of Christ and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. After retirement, she enjoyed senior bowling and square dancing with her husband Don. Surviving are her children, Gary (Cindy) Welch of Soddy Daisy, TN, Steve (Lisa) Welch of Fort Wayne, David (Amy) Welch of Spring Hope, NC, and Suzi (Marty) Raugh of Fort Wayne; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and brother, Jason Wolfe. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Charles Donald Welch in 2020; siblings, Kate Waters, Eleanor Dillman, Pauline Chapman; and great-grandson, Charles Welch. Service is 11 am, Friday, April 5, 2024 at Cedar Creek Church of Christ, 12606 Leo Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm.
