Betty Jane Steger, 80, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024. Born in Vernon, Florida, Betty was a daughter of the late Allen and Mary (Sweat) Flowers. During her working years, Betty worked for several factories before her retirement. Betty was a loving wife, devoted mother, and caring grandmother to her family. She enjoyed and was a wonderful cook and host to family and friends. She enjoyed the simple things in life and cherished time spent with her family. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Edward Steger, children, Donna (Mark) Muller, Edward (Terri) Steger II, Michelle (Doug) Lehman; grandchildren, Eric, Ethan, Erin (Christian), Casey (Austin) Andrew, Melissa; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Pitts, Virginia (Jim) Carnahan, Allen (Beverly) Flowers Jr.; along with several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her sisters, Olivia, Sophie, and Lynn. Service is 11 am, Friday, April 19, 2024 at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, with calling one hour prior. Calling also at the funeral home on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Burial in Leo Memorial Cemetery, Leo Indiana.
