Betty I. Dikeman, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully at home Monday, September 7, 2026. She was born to the late Luther Kelly SR and Virgie (Johnston) Barton on June 7, 1939. She was a homemaker most of her life. Betty loved to go antique shopping and restore furniture. She always found the diamond in the rough. She loved dogs and would always take care of animals in need.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Bret) Parker; grandchildren, Melissa A. Parker, Korah (Angel) Sanchez, Joshua Bingham, Mathew Lane and Marc Lane; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Peggy Parrott, Mary Hunter, and Butch (Alice) Barton; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Randall Dikeman; children, Jay Butler, Paula Lane, and Dennis M. O’Donnell; and siblings, Patricia Thatch and Luther Kelly Barton JR.

Betty will be laid to rest at Crown Hill National Cemetery with her husband.
