Obituary
Barbara Ann Wynn, 84, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on March 28, 2025. She was born on August 10, 1940, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Ruth and Elmer "Red" Vining.
Barbara dedicated over 30 years of her career to GTE/Verizon before spending more than a decade working with Fort Wayne Community Schools. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother (known as Mimi), who never missed an opportunity to cheer for her grandchildren at their after-school activities. She had a deep love for animals and birds, finding joy in watching them from her patio. An avid reader, Barbara could often be found immersed in a good book.
She is survived by her three children, Rick (Jayne) Wynn, Michele (James) Crall, and Glenn (Judy) Wynn; grandchildren Angela (Doug) Greener, Alan Wynn, Matt (Kristy) Wynn, Jessica (Matthew) Berry, Brandon (Karah) Wynn, Adam (Melanie) Crall, Caleb (Hannah) Wynn, and Drew (Cree) Wynn; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Fairhaven Funeral Home on Clinton Street in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm with service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Wayne Pet Community Assistance (FPCA) and Humane Fort Wayne in Barbara's honor.
