Barbara Lou Watson, 85, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Born in San Diego, California, Barbara was the daughter of the late Harold and Crystabel (Wood) Doerr. She worked for Zollner's as a purchasing agent for 30 years prior to her retirement. Following retirement she worked for Meijer for 10 years, where she met so many nice co workers and customers. Barbara was a devoted wife, and loving mother to her three boys. She enjoyed spending time with her boys, going to the zoo, eating out, shopping and sitting outside "people watching." She was a member of Good Shepherd UMC and Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are her sons, Kirk Watson, Kevin (Linda Kirk) Watson, Kent (Darlene) Watson; brother, Robert Doerr; nephew Tim (Kendra) Doerr; and her Yorkipoo, Rocky. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, James Watson. A Graveside Service is 1 pm, Monday, August 21, 2023 at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke. Memorials may be made to Humane Fort Wayne or Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
