Barbara Lynn Stedge, age 78, of Fort Wayne passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022. She was born in Chicago, IL to the late Donald and Marguerite Spiers. Barbara was a graduate of South Side High School, also completing her bachelor's degree in 1966, and later her Master's degree in 1967 both from Purdue University. She taught mathematics in Griffith, IN and with FWCS at Shawnee Junior High School. Barbara was a long-time member of Saint Joseph United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and Bible Study Fellowship. Her faith was a major part of her life. Barbara enjoyed card stamping, Bible study, hiking, crafting, and math club to name a few. She also enjoyed many vacations with family and friends. Barbara is survived by her sons, Steven Stedge of Fort Wayne, Jeff (Kari) Stedge of Clarks Hill, IN, and John (Sarah Endris) Stedge of Bloomington, IN; 4 grandchildren, Ty, Gavin, Brayden, and Zecheriah; brother, Greg (Ellie) Spiers of Darien, IL; several nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Don (Carol) Stedge of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Stedge in 2018. "The family would thank all the staff and administration for all their care and support given our family from Heritage Pointe". Service is 12:00 pm, Monday, August 8, 2022 at St. Joseph United Methodist Church, 6004 Reed Rd., with calling one hour prior.
