Barbara “Barb” Kay Hibiske, 69, of Hoagland, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026. She was born to the late Harold and Marian (Neiswender) Naragon in South Bend, IN on September 27, 1956. She graduated from Jackson High School in South Bend, IN in 1975. Barb retired from East Allen County Schools as a food service team member. Gardening was Barb’s passion and she also loved to cook. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and traveling to Gatlinburg, TN. She was an active member of North Park Community Church where she taught preschool Sunday school. She volunteered at A Hope Center in Fort Wayne. She and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 16, 2026.
Barb is survived by her loving husband, Tim; sons, Matthew (Janelle) Hibiske of Fort Wayne and Garrett (Kristin) Hibiske of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren, Myah, Grant, Sadey, Hunter and Olivia Hibiske; brothers, Clint (Sue) Naragon and Barry (Shelia) Naragon of South Bend; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be on Friday, May 29, 2026 at North Park Community Church (7160 Flutter Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835) at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Fairhaven Funeral Home (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Burial will follow the service at Concordia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to A Hope Center.
