Barbara Ann Helton, 68, of Fort Wayne, passed away suddenly on January 17, 2025. Devoted wife, mother, and community volunteer, Barbara's legacy is one of steadfast faith, love, and service.
Born and raised in Bluffton, Barbara dedicated much of her life to helping others. She was a beloved volunteer at The Rescue Mission and the Cass Street Bike Shop, where she made a significant impact on everyone she met. Her passion for teaching was evident in her Sunday School classes, and she took great pride in mentoring many people throughout her life.
Barbara was known for giving the best hugs and her feisty spirit that could brighten anyone's day. Her deep faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she was a cherished member of Faith United Methodist Church.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Raphael "Chief" Helton, and her children, Jose, Raul, and Rosa. Her memory will live on in the hearts of the many lives she touched.
Funeral Services for Barbara will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at noon with visitation beginning at 11 am, all at Faith United Methodist Church, 207 E. Dewald Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46803. A Repass will follow at church immediately after services.
