Barbara Ann Bunnell passed away March 31, 2017.

Barbara was born in Lagrange, Indiana, on June 4, 1933, to Clarence E. Grate and Ruah Grate. She graduated from Lagrange High School in 1951 and married Donald Bunnell on June 30 the same year. Professionally, she served her community at Lutheran Hospital for 35 years, and in her retirement she most enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving is her sister, Mary Pierson; three daughters: Dawn (Larry) Daugherty, Janet (Walt) Fisher, and Heather (Joe Mcclure) Bunnell; nine grandchildren: Jeremy (Jennifer) Daugherty, Jonathon Daugherty, Josh Daugherty, Justin Daugherty, Walter J. (Karen) Fisher, Michael (Pamela) Fisher; Teri (David Predina) Luce, Christopher (Kinzie) Luce, and Jillian (James) Reid; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Donald Bunnell; one brother, Clarence "Jiggs" Grate; two sisters, Enid Oman and Janet Grogg; and one great-grandchild, Jacob Reid.

A funeral service will be held Friday, April 7, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with calling one hour prior. Visitation is Thursday, April 6, from 4:00-7:00 p.m., at Fairhaven Funeral Home 6557 N. Clinton St. Fort Wayne, IN. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
