Obituary
Mr. Baltazar Guzmán, 83 years old, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on November 10 in Colonia El Cuitzillo, Uriangato, Gto, Mexico.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Esther Guzmán; his children Luz María (Ramiro) Vázquez, Martín (Becky) Guzmán, Miguel Ángel (Patricia) Guzmán, Eduardo Guzmán, Baltazar Guzmán; as well as his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Leticia Guzmán and his parents Miguel and Maria Guzmán.
Baltazar was a strong, hardworking, dedicated man, and deeply devoted to God and His word. Baltazar loved to share His word with everyone he could so that they would know their lord whom he loved. That love extended to his family, whom he cared for with all his heart—both near and far. His strength, humility and faith left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the resurrection and the life; He who believes in me, even if he is dead, will live. And everyone who lives and believes in me will not die forever. Do you believe this?" John 11:25-26
The viewing will take place on Sunday, June 8, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street. There will be a second viewing on Monday, June 9 at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Templo Aposento Alto, 307 W. Woodland Ave.
The burial will take place immediately following at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, 5365 Lake Avenue.
El señor Baltazar Guzmán, de 83 años, falleció en paz el 3 de Junio de 2025 en el Hospital Lutheran en Fort Wayne, Indiana. Nació el 10 de Noviembre en la Colonia El Cuitzillo, Uriangato, Gto, México.
Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Esther Guzmán; sus hijos Luz María y Ramiro Vázquez, Martín y Becky Guzmán, Miguel Ángel y Patricia Guzmán, Eduardo Guzmán y Baltazar Guzmán; así como sus numerosos nietos y bisnietos. Le precedió en la muerte su querida hija, Leticia Guzmán y sus padres Miguel y Maria Guzmán.
Baltazar fue un hombre fuerte, trabajador, dedicado, y profundamente entregado a Dios y a Su palabra. A Baltazar le encantaba compartir Su palabra con todos los que podía para que así conocieran a su señor a quien él amaba. Ese amor se extendía a su familia, a quienes cuidó con todo su corazón—tanto a los cercanos como a los que estaban lejos. Su fortaleza, humildad y fe dejaron una huella imborrable en todos los que lo conocieron.
