Arthur Roy Blauvelt, Jr., 77, of Fort Wayne, fell asleep in death on Thursday, May 30, 2024. His work ethic, and always being early were his trademarks. He was a sheetmetal craftsman, entrepreneur/owner of Blauvelt & Sons Heating and Air Conditioning, and with the local utility company, NIPSCO. Many will remember fondly his generosity as a host at the lake, his can-do spirit taking on any project, his matchmaking, and his special attachment to the family dog, Sky. Art was member of the New Haven Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, and enjoyed reading, studying, and sharing with others the truths he found in the Bible. Even during his illness his faith remained strong. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Sue (Dahman) Blauvelt, sons Timothy (Janette) Blauvelt and Benjie (fiancé Marielle Lael) Blauvelt, grandchildren Ross (Natalia) Blauvelt and Emily Blauvelt, three great-grandchildren, and his sister Tina (Rod) Miller. He was preceded in death by his brother Lester Farrell and sister Nellie Johnson. Memorial service will be at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 11181 IN-37, New Haven, Indiana. On Saturday, July 20th at 3:00 pm. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services was entrusted for arrangements.
