Arno Kurt Wagenhaus, 92, of Fort Wayne passed away on Thursday June 4th, 2026. He was born in Halle, Germany and moved to the United States in 1961. Arno and his wife fled East Germany and were eventually sponsored by the Lutheran Church which brought them to Fort Wayne. Arno was a Master Wood Worker and he was the owner of Wagenhaus Furniture Gallery on N. Clinton St. He worked alongside his wife as she was a designer at the shop. Arno was very well known at the Shipshewana Auction where he would buy furniture to restore and re-sell. He was a quiet, grateful man who loved nature.

Arno had no surviving family members, but he will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ingeborg.

A memorial gathering will be held at Park Place Senior Living at a date and time yet to be determined.
