Armittie Lee Partlow, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, Armittee was a daughter of the late Leroy Carr and Nellie Carr. She was a caregiver at heart and spent many years caring for others.
Armittie’s love for God was at the very center of her life. Her faith was not simply something she spoke about—it was something she lived. She loved the Lord deeply and devoted herself to prayer, worship, and encouraging others in their faith. As an ordained minister and devoted prayer warrior, she found strength and purpose in her relationship with God and took great joy in sharing His love with those around her. She loved gospel music, believed strongly in the power of prayer, and remained steadfast in her faith throughout her life. Her family will always remember her devotion to God as one of the most defining parts of who she was.
Armittie also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She had a lively personality, a quick wit, and a spirited nature that made her unforgettable. She was never afraid to speak her mind and had a special way of bringing laughter and personality to any room. Beneath that spirited nature was a loving and caring heart, and she found great joy in bringing her family together. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with those she loved.
Surviving are her children, Alfonzo Partlow and Jane Partlow; grandchildren, Ariona, Ariel, Alona, Amillieon, Jessica, Darius, and Dewayne; great-grandchildren, Ayden and Marissa; and siblings, Laura Aultman and Levi Carr.
Armittie was preceded in death by her sons, Willie and Mark Carr; her granddaughter, Alexiona; and siblings, David, Percell, Pernell, Jack, and Cleveland Carr.
A service celebrating Armittie’s life will be held Friday, October 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at FairHaven Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825.
Burial will follow in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
