Obituary

Arlene Konley, age 81, passed away September 24, 2018 in Fort Wayne. She was born in Michigan to the late John and Ethel Frehse. Arlene was a teacher for over 40 years in the Indiana Public Schools. She was a member of Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church, the Gideon Auxillary, and the Indiana State Teacher's Association. She is survived by her husband, George Konley of Fort Wayne; children, Diane (Greg) Wyant of Alamorgodo, NM; Nancy (Jeff) Ingram of Colorado Springs, CO; and David Spade of Fort Wayne; step-sons, Gary Konley of Orland Park, IL and Steven Konley of Crestwood, IL; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson, John McDaniel; and brother, Robert Frehse. Service is 4:00pm, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church, 10145 Maysville Rd, with calling 2 hours prior beginning at 2:00 pm. Private burial will be held in Marion National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Auxiliary of Gideons International or American Diabetes Association.
