Anthony Udell Blankenship, age 71, passed away on October 17, 2026, in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born in Gary, IN to the late Thomas and Emma Blankenship.

Anthony proudly worked as a maintenance engineer for several steel mills in Northeast Indiana. His true passion was music. He was a member of the Songwriters Guild of America and BMI. He'll be remembered as a gifted musician who wrote, produced, and played worship music. He successfully managed a busy schedule for his group, StaTone, which traveled to many area churches to lead worship.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Stacey Hunt-Blankenship; children, Kyra (Chandris) Russell, Mecah (Kareem) Brown, Micah (Veola Hambright) Blankenship, Monica Blankenship, Darryll Hunt; 4 grandchildren, Jordyn, Julian, Jewel, and Timothy; 1 great-granddaughter, Zia; sister, Gloria Cruze; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Anthony was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lola Pugh; his sister, Dorothy Nichols; and brother, Donny Blankenship.
