ANDREW JAMES "ANDY" KOHMAN, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, after a heroic lifelong battle with mental illness. Born in Plymouth, Ind., Andy was the son of the late Kevin Kohman and Mary Warren who survives. Andy graduated from Argos Community High School, class of 2002 and attended IPFW. He served his nation as a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran earning the rank of Lance Corporal. Andrew was an Investment Banker with Wells Fargo and Flag Star Bank for the past 10 years. Andrew so loved being a father to his children, and a Marine to his country. He cherished being his sons' soccer coach. Andy also enjoyed rooting for the Alabama Crimson Tide, playing video games, and eating the most important food ever, peanut butter. Andrew was known as a hilarious, somewhat wild and crazy kid who would do anything to make others smile and laugh. With all that being said, Andrew certainly has left his impression on those who knew him and he will not be forgotten. Surviving are his wife, Amanda Kohman; children, Landon "Bubba" Kohman, Zachary "Z Man" Bissell and Mackenzie Kohman; siblings, Ashley (Travis) Nischuk, Adam (Melissa) Kohman, Justin (Sherry) Collins, Joshua Collins, and Shannon (Eric) Proegler; second mother, Missy Mitchell; step-mother, Linda Kohman; grandfather, James A. Brown; along with many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Andrew was preceded in death by his grandmother, Madeleine "Mickie" Brown; brother, Aaron Kohman; and uncle, Verner "Vern" Collins. Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, at FairHaven Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, at the funeral home. Burial with Marine Honors will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
