Obituary

Amanda D. Eicher, 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Grabill, Amanda was a daughter of the late Eli and Sue (Bontrager) Miller. Amanda worked as a seamstress at Souders for 15 years. Amanda and her husband Lavern founded Amanda's Bakery where they made their famous cinnamon rolls. She enjoyed puzzles, quilting, reading, spending time at the lakes, and traveling. Amanda was a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring grandmother to her family. Amanda was a member of Central Ministries. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Lavern Eicher; children, Stan Eicher, Denise (Roger) Stoll, Arlin (Shelly) Eicher, Sue (Gary) Watts; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Amanda was preceded in death by her grandson, Austin Eicher; siblings, Wilma Miller, Viola Delegrange and Ray Miller. Service is 11 am, Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Central Ministries Leo Campus, 14717 Amstutz Rd with calling one hour prior. Calling also at the church on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 1 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. Memorials may be made to Central Ministries Building Fund. FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
