Amanda Daenens, age 52, passed away at home on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in Fort Wayne with family and friends. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN. Mandy was a a beautiful person who had a beautiful heart. She loved to dance and write poems. She was free-spirited, who loved her family and friends well. She was a wonderful loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Amanda is survived by her husband Brian Gibson; mom, Susie and stepfather, Kevin Jones; three sons, Racee May, Logan May, and Luke Daenens; father, John (Gail) May; stepfather, Tom (Robin) Mohr; sister, Lyndsey (Sender) Mohr; sister, Sarah (Mike) Silva; brother, Jeremey Mohr; grandson, Toby Daenens; nieces, Aleah, Judea, Jaylee; Aunt Meoldy (Derald) Lehman, Aunt Sherri (Kenny) Smith, Aunt Linda (Scott) Schwartz, Aunt Karen (Eugene) Endris, Uncle Bob (Melanie) Messmer; and best friends, Katie Korte and Nicole Barber. She was preceded in death by grandparents, William and Anna Taylor, and Robert and Millie Messmer. A graveside service and burial will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Prairie Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
