Allen Lee Shipp Jr., 61, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. Allen was born in Auburn a son of the late Allen Lee Shipp Sr., and Nora Pierce who survives. Allen served our country proudly while in the U.S. Army Rangers. Allen enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, hunting, but nothing was more important to him than his family. He received the greatest joy being able to watch and support his grandchildren at their school and sporting events. Allen was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven and American Legion #202. Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Vicki Shipp, children Cody (Erika) Shipp; Dawn (Marcus) Wind; grandchildren, Nolan, Hadlee, Eliza, Benjamin, Eden, Miriam, Silas; sister, Sandy Shipp; and his loving in-laws, Glen and Bonnie Rinard. Allen was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Stamper. A Celebration of Allen's Life will be 10:30 am, Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 800 Green Street, with calling one hour prior. Calling also at the church on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 5 pm to 7 pm. Memorials may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church or Central Lutheran School.
