Alan R. Talmage, age 87, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at his home in Fort Wayne.  He was born in Kendallville, IN to the late Ernest and Dorothea Talmage.  Alan proudly served as a Captain for the U.S. Army and returned home to work as a farmer.  He was a member of the Rotary Club, Gideons International, and several bridge and investment clubs.  He enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and family.  Alan is survived by his  children, Elizabeth (Victoria) Talmage, Lisa Davis, Kathyrn (Doug) Gribben, David Talmage, Maggie Shortt, Aaron (Caroline)Talmage, and Leah Donovan;  13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mary McCormick.  He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Kay Talmage; second wife, Karen Talmage;  and sister, Norma Gaither.  Service is 3:00 pm, Thursday, March 27, 2025, at East Springfield United Methodist Church,10480 US-20, LaGrange, IN  46761 with calling two hours prior beginning at 1pm.  Memorials may be made to Delores McNett and Talmage family PH FFA WLC fund at https://lccf.fcsuite.com/erp/ donate/create/fund?funit_id= 1182 .
