Obituary

Alan Glenn Orr, 93, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 15, 2026. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Alan was the only child of the late Robert G. and Helen (Carpenter) Orr.
Alan graduated from Central High School, Class of 1951, and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1952 to 1955. Following his military service, he built a successful career that reflected his strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. He worked for Magnavox and spent many years in sales before owning and operating Creditors Protection Service in Fort Wayne.
Alan married the love of his life, Vona Spice, on February 27, 1954. Together they built a loving family and shared a lifetime of memories.
Alan enjoyed staying active and spending time with family and friends. In his younger years, he was an avid bowler and dedicated many years to coaching youth bowling. He also loved spending time at the family's lake home, where he enjoyed fishing. Another hobby Alan enjoyed was golf.
A man of strong faith, Alan was a longtime and faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church. His faith guided his life, and he found great joy in worship, fellowship, and serving his church community.
Surviving are his wife, Vona Orr; children, William Orr, Vona-Jean (Mark) Douglas, Monica Frankhouser, and Mark Orr; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Alan was preceded in death by his son-in-law, John Frankhouser.
A Celebration of Alan's Life will be held at a later date at Concordia Cemetery Gardens Chapel, 5363 Lake Avenue Burial will immediately follow in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
