Alan "Al" J. Dunn, 69, of Huntertown, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024. He was born to the late John L. Dunn Sr. and Elizabeth "Betty" (Bishop) Dunn in Fort Wayne. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1973. Al was an electrician at Sheller-Globe for 26 years. He then started Dunn and Sons Electric with his sons. He was a ham operator for many years and was a huge NASCAR fan. Al enjoyed camping and his dog, Brooke.

Al is survived by his sons, Matt Dunn of Huntertown and Joe (Tracy) Dunn of Auburn; grandchildren, Braxton, Emersin, Dominic and Matthew; brothers, John Dunn of Fort Wayne and Ronald (Lena) Dunn of Columbia City; and a host of relatives and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Jackie Dunn.

Funeral service will be on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N. Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46825) at 1:00 pm with visitation two hours prior. Burial will follow the service at Highland Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors.
