Alan Richard Behm, age 66, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born in Neenah, Wisconsin, Alan was a son of the late Vernon R. Behm and Gladys W. (Chapman) Behm.
During his working years, Alan was entrusted with the care and maintenance of several downtown buildings, where he took great pride in ensuring they were well maintained and functioning properly. He was known for his reliability, attention to detail, and his willingness to lend a hand or share his expertise with anyone in need of assistance or guidance.
Possessing a meticulous nature, Alan developed a passion for woodworking, an art form that reflected both his patience and precision. Though he made his home in Indiana, Alan’s heart remained closely tied to Wisconsin, where he cherished camping and hunting and was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Surviving are his sisters, Paula Saunders and Deborah (Craig) Carper; nieces, Christine (Brian) Carteaux and Cady (Chris) Garmen; great-nephews, Carson, Dylan, and Ethan; his favorite cousin, Sue Haldeman; and close family friends, Bob (Jan) Nienuth and Linn Wilson.
Alan was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Behm.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the employees at Chateau who became Alan’s friends for the care, kindness, and companionship they provided.
Private family services will be held.
